North Shore Theatre for Children is casting Kitty Peek and Doggy Boo, a light-hearted children’s play based on the book Tales about the Dog and Cat, by Czech writer Josef Capek; for children 3-7 yrs. Nora Linhart, Dir. Production runs Oct. 21 -Dec. 16, mid-week matinees, at various venues in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, BC.

Seeking - Alfred/Frieda: 20-35, male/female; magician’s apprentice. Must be energetic, funny, and patient. Opportunity to showcase singing, dancing and clowning abilitiy with a very young audience; Kitty Peek: 20+, female; sweet-tempered kitten/puppeteer. Must be playful, graceful with a strong, clear singing voice. Opportunity to learn trade of animating large puppets; Doggy Boo: 20+, male/female; Clumsy, funny puppy/puppeteer. Must have strong, clear singing voice to create a loveable character for very young audiences; Puppeteers: (2) male/female, 18+; good actor with an accent; imaginative and precise. No talking or singing. Musical talent a plus.
