TAR
| Justin Hamilton is a graduate student at UCLA who is currently producing/directing/writing a short film (on DV) for festival contention called “TAR”. Its a hybrid of film noir and neo-noir (”Chinatown” meets “Sin City”) by way of styles influenced by the French New Wave.
Seeking TRAVIS GOODWIN (18-30) a detective who is reserved at times, but well-spoken, witty and complex for young age, your conventional hero. Contrast with partner… HARVEY SMALLS (30-46) the tough detective who works outside the law, he is tough, has seen everything, one-dimensional, self-serving, and morally ambiguous (your anti-hero). MR. KOSLOV (38-36) must be able to do a strong Russian accent (John Malkovich in “Rounders”), a Shakespearian background is a HUGE plus, savvy, ruthless, yet awkwardly sophisticated, must emphasis a strong ability to play Russian role well. ROSALINA (16-28) experienced actress with classic blonde-blue eyed features who is able to maintain sophistication without losing grace. Must not be the slighted bit intimidated by the men opposite her, confident in her sex appeal and knows how to use it to manipulate. HENCHMAN (20-30) well built, strong commanding presence, fluent Russian is a big plus.
