Downey Civic Light Opera is casting South Pacific. Marsha Moode, dir.; Eddy Clement, music dir. Rehearsals start Sept. 2. Performances run Oct. 2-19.

Seeking-Emile DeBecque; Nellie Forbush; Lt. Cable; Luther Billis; Capt. Brackett. Note: The role of Bloody Mary has been cast.

Nonrequired Equity principal auditions will be held Aug. 18 & 21, 7-10:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Downey, 8348 E. 3rd St., Downey. A monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Prepare two minutes of a Rodgers & Hammerstein selection, preferably from the show. Three Equity Contracts will be used for the above roles. Equity Guest Artist Contract ($300/wk. min.).
