Music: Leroy Anderson; Lyrics: Joan Ford, Walter Kerr, Jean Kerr; Book: Walter Kerr, Jean Kerr; Director: Daniel Haley; Musical Dir. Jessica Stewart; Producers: Suzanne Adams & Hector Coris. Part of the acclaimed Closing Notice series, bringing “flop” or under-produced musicals back to life. Rehearses weekday evenings and some weekends. First rehearsal Saturday 8/16.
Some roles may double. Seeking dynamic singers/actors:
MAX - late 20’s-early 30’s- smooth talking, playboy film director
MAGGIE – mid-20’s - musical theatre star, beauty with a quick temper and sharp tongue
GEORGE - early 30’s- wealthy sincere, big hearted, Maggie’s beau
LOIS - late teen’s-early 20’s- naive, man-hungry, actress wanna-be
PETE - 30’s- assistant film producer, over-worked right hand man
ANDY - 20’s- eager young film actor
BESSIE - 40+ over worked costumer, mother figure to boys on the set
JC/FRANK - 40+ wealthy businessman/dumb but lovable film actor
PATTY -20’s - 30’s production assistant, gal-pal to Maggie
