The Burien Little Theatre is casting The Rocky Horror Show, Richard O’Brien’s outrageous musical comedy, a sexual parody of horror and science fiction that became a cult classic from the 1970’s. Steve Cooper, dir.; Tom Prince, music dir. Rehearsals begin Aug. 9; runs Sept. 26-Nov. 2 at the Burien Little Theatre, Burien, WA.

Seeking-Narrator: 35-60, must have strong voice for radio, non-singing role; Brad: 20s, a tenor with a Neil Sedaka style; Janet: 20s, a soprano, classical heroine type with the most legit voice in the cast; Riff Raff: 20-30s, a Tenor/true rock screamer; Magenta: 20-30s, a Mezzo/Rock belter, think Grace Slick or Janis Joplin, maid type on the kinky side; Columbia: 20s, a Mezzo/Rock belter, a groupie; Dr. Frank n’ Furter: 25-35, high baritone, must be able to do a range of voices; Eddie: 25-45, baritone, biker look with Meatloaf voice, double cast w/Dr. Scott; Rocky: 25-35, a tenor, must be in good shape and comfortable with wearing little clothing; Dr. Scott: 45-55, talk singing, requires some makeup/wig work for younger actor, double cast with Eddie; Phantom Male 1: 20-30s, baritone backup singer, easy harmony, choral experience helpful, must sing and dance; Phantom Male 2: 20-30s, tenor backup singer, easy harmony work, must sing and dance a lot; Phantom Female 1: 20-30s, Alto backup singer, easy harmony; choral exp. helpful, must sing and dance; Phantom Female 2: 20-30s, soprano back up singer, easy harmony, must sing and dance. Note: Play deals with overt sexuality so anyone who auditions must be comfortable with this, including possible requirement for scantily-designed costumes.

Auditions will be held by appt. only July 7-8, 7-10 p.m. at The Burien Little Theatre, located at the intersection of SW 146th & 4th Sts., in Burien, WA.
