VA, ‘DEATHTRAP’
The American Century Theater is casting Deathtrap, a thriller about Sidney Bruhl, a desperate, middle-aged playwright best known for his murder mysteries but without a hit in almost two decades, who offers to collaborate with a writer with plagiarism in mind. Ellen Dempsey, dir. Rehearsals begin late July; runs Sept. 9-Oct. 5.

Seeking-Sidney Bruhl: 40s-50s, formerly successful playwright currently in a writing slump; Myra Bruhl: 40s-50s, intelligent, dutiful, Sidney’s anxious wife; Clifford Anderson: 20s, handsome, bright, Sidney’s playwriting ; Helga ten Dorp: 30s, a psychic; Porter Milgrim: 40+, Bruhl family attorney.
